Lean-IPD (Integrated Project Delivery):
This is a collaborative alliance of people, systems, business structures and practices into a process that harnesses the talents and insights of all participants to optimize project results, increase value to the owner, reduce waste, and maximize efficiency through all phases of design, fabrication, and construction.
Alliance Energy has participated in a number of projects utilizing the Lean-IPD process. We continually strive to improve our internal and onsite project processes. Our culture fits very well with the Lean IPD culture and works exceptionally well on projects moving forward. On many of our projects we have implemented prefabrication of systems where ever practical. Our team intends to further evolve the prefabrication process as this offers a better product built in a controlled environment completed just in time for use, resulting in little to no waste, low or no waiting times and limited handling and transportation costs.
We continue to discuss the Lean IPD process with many of our major suppliers so they understand the significance of the Lean culture and also work towards its success. We establish early vertical integration with our suppliers so that at project inception late deliveries are not acceptable and “just in time” product delivery is achieved.
ECM (Electrical Construction Management)
Alliance Energy acting as the Electrical Construction Manager provides budgeting and design assist services to assemble the electrical package that meets the design, budget, and schedule criteria for a successful project outcome. Our resume includes several projects under this model of delivery. With compressed timelines the ECM method is particularly effective. The services of the ECM are divided into three stages; Pre-Construction, Construction, and Post-Construction. We have the capabilities to provide expert personnel at all three phases.
P3 (Public Private Partnership)
Across Canada, P3s are a prominent procurement vehicle for governments. A P3 project presents an alternative delivery method for building or maintaining public infrastructure. Alliance Energy has participated in a variety of P3 project proposals and has been successful on several. Our ability to recognize the need for practical solutions on a longterm commitment by the consortium to the end user has been critical to our success and that of the team.
