Agrium, Vanscoy Expansion
Alliance Energy Industrial, in joint venture with PCL Intracon Power, completed Agrium’s VAULT (VAnscoy ULTimate Expansion) to reach the ultimate capacity of the Vanscoy, Saskatchewan potash mine located 40 kilometers southwest of Saskatoon.
The work consisted of three main areas:
- underground modifications and hoist upgrades
- surface processing upgrades including a new parallel processing train
- two new compaction plants and various infrastructure and utility upgrades
Alliance provided the electrical and instrumentation to the mine underground loading pocket, raw ore hoist, conveyors, process equipment in the mill, loadout and product storage facilities. In addition, the installation of the new mill building extensions to house any new process equipment. This project was our largest undertaking to date and was completed Spring of 2016.
