City of Regina WWTP

The City of Regina Wastewater Treatment Plant project included upgrades and new construction, completed by EPCOR and its partners, enabling the City of Regina to meet the province’s environmental requirements and accommodates community growth while improving the water quality for downstream communities. Alliance Energy provided the electrical work to complete many areas of the project:

Bioreactors & Clarifiers:

Alliance Energy installed a complete electrical & instrumentation system for the Bioreactor and Clarifier area of the plant expansion. The scope of work consisted of the main distribution cable and equipment installation, cable tray, process electrical and instrumentation, lighting and power installation. The specific challenges of integrating a new system with the existing operational Waste Water Treatment Plant and critical process deadlines were all achieved with great success. Safety and quality were critical in the performance of all tasks in the project.

Maintenance/DAF Building:

Alliance Energy installed a complete electrical & instrumentation system for the De-watering Air Floatation (DAF) and maintenance offices areas of the plant expansion. The scope of work consisted of the main distribution cable and equipment installation, cable tray, process electrical and instrumentation, lighting and power installation in a combination of an industrial process area and commercial office environment. The renovation in the existing DAF building included new lighting, distribution and new instrumentation for new devices.

Fibre & Ductbank:

Alliance Energy supplied and installed the new utility ductbank, high voltage cable, terminations and fiber optic cable. The scope of work consisted of 12km of ductbank conduit, 6 km of 25kv teck cable, eighty 25 kv terminations, 11km of fiber optic teck cable, 1000 fiber optic terminations and the testing of all cables installed. All work was completed within the critical completion dates with a flawless safety record.
